The Heat Won’t Beat ME

I stopped the presses and moved what I was going to write about this week to later because all I or anyone wants to talk about is the weather and how we’re coping. (I am also willing to discuss mayoral optimism, the scones at the new restaurant at the Frick, how much I actually really like the Hamptons, stuff from The Row I regrettably want, etc., but we are sticking to beauty here.) A few select items that have saved me and might save you.

The dumbest thing I have maybe ever fallen for was Becca Cosmetics Zero Pigment foundation. It was basically clear gel you were supposed to smear on that would give your skin some sort of coverage. Extremely The Emperor’s New Clothes. To be fair it was the early days of the pandemic and we were all collectively losing it.
