Let’s start with the good news: Wet n Wild® PhotoFocus™ Dewy Face Primer is $5 and whenever I wear it people tell me my skin looks amazing. My mother met a woman at a train station in Chicago who told her it’s “better than Chanel.” No idea the context for this conversation, but my mom bought some and then bought me some and we both love it. Before and after photographic proof but sometimes you just have to trust me that something is really good. It doesn’t feel like I am wearing makeup but also just gives the slightest amount of coverage and glow without looking like much.

My generous act is posting radically unflattering selfies to this newsletter

Now the bad news: I believe it’s discontinued. I bought up a couple tubes but I’m not sure what to do when they run out—we’ll hold hands and venture out together when the time comes. (Or send me ideas!) Wet n Wild has a matte finish one that I am opening to trying but I am not really a matte person at heart. Somewhere, maybe a childhood in drought ridden California, I got the idea that dew and opalescence and sweat is the key to looking sexy and I’ve ran with it ever since.
