Find me something I love more than a sauna. If I could do one daily, I would. Obviously they are great in winter but this is a year-round lifestyle for me. I have very strong beliefs about which you should go to and what you should do in various local because that’s how I express love and friendship. Please do tell me your local favorites. This is the kind of thing I would plan a vacation (a vacation!!!) around.

Yes to Wall Street Baths, which has a whole ass pool, Hammam, various saunas, and a Russian restaurant. Many years ago a friend had her birthday party there which is a fun idea. However it is getting popular which is not a bad thing, but I don’t really want to run into people while I am having sauna time. I like going with a friend and talking about my problems or just staring off into space together, or being alone. So the more secret spot is Citywell in Gowanus. Steam room, outdoor jacuzzi, hammock, insane saunas, plus Liz, the owner is arguably the best masseuse in New York City. Sometimes you can book her for a brief chair massage and it’s a while other level. There are, like, heated towels involved. They keep community hours small so it is never crowded plus you can rent it out. Bonus gossip:
